Once again, an American that is falling out of the public eye in the US has pulled the emergency eject button to get a bit of cash flow into the savings account: Tour Australia.

Former leader of the Democratic Party Kamala Harris has been seen at a speaking engagement on the Gold Coast after several months of saying “I told you so” to dinner party guests back home.

Many experts predicted Kamala’s arrival in Australia down to the month, saying that any American star that has a fall from grace can be expected to rock up to Australia to cash in their once stratospheric fame.

“Australia has long been an oasis for American celebrities that have lost most of their buzz in the states” said one leading sociologist.

“We find that Australia has a 6 month delay on the pulse of American pop culture, which means any American star that’s fallen off can come here like nothing ever happened”

Kamala Harris, who was a guest of honour at the 2025 Australian Real Estate Conference, gave a talk warning about the perils of fascism to a crowd of 4,500 real estate agents — who couldn’t give a shit about all that and just wanted a selfie with her for their instagram real estate accounts.

The audience gave a polite round of applause before immediately lining up to ask if she had ever met Beyoncé.

Harris is expected to follow the full fallen off American star itinerary, including a meditation retreat in Byron Bay and a surprise DJ set at a Melbourne rooftop bar.
