Report: A Good Day To Stay Off The Internet

In some breaking news from planet earth, today is a pretty good day to stay off the internet.

This comes after popular American activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead at a rally in Utah.

The right-wing influencer leaves behind a wife and two children, and becomes the latest victim of a concerning rise in political violence in the United States and ‘The West.’

Given the shooting of the pro-gun advocate who proclaimed that a certain amount of deaths a year was part of the contract to protect America’s 2nd amendment, the internet is behaving exactly how you would expect it to today.

With pages and comments sections either lionising Kirk or claiming he got what he deserved, it’s set to be a big 24 hours for people on phones, tablets and computers.

“Yeah I might just sit this one out,” said a local Betoota man today.

“At a certain point, not very far into these things, it just becomes people parroting the same shit on either side of the debate.”

“And people looking to fight with someone they’ve never met and will never meet.”

“So I’ll just watch the news tonight and see what the wrap up of it all is, and then do some digging if I feel I need to.”

“But I’m sure the blokes on site will have some expert opinions about it all.”

“Curious to see who the killer is, given a lot of people are assuming it’s some blue haired lunatic.”

“Will be interesting to see if it’s someone on the other side of the political spectrum.”

More to come.
