In some breaking news from Betoota’s French Quarter, a rather vacuous mate of mate is going to one of those new fan-dangle coffee shop rave things.

Lucy Peters (27), a person who works at one of the big law firm’s in the CBD, revealed via Instagram stories that she’s got big plans for the weekend.

With Park Run a LOCK on Saturday morning, Lucy is apparently planning to spice things up a little bit after that.

“Cannot wait for this one!” said Lucy, sharing the tile for tomorrow morning’s sober dance party.

The ‘rave’ in question is taking place at the trendy French Quarter cafe The Brooklyn Boiler, where over 100 good looking people are expecting to turn up in the hard light of day and dance around to some EDM tunes at 9am in the morning.

The rave comes amongst a broader trend of ‘coffee shop raves,’ where groovers around the nation and the world come together for the extremely sanitised past time.

Flying in the face of the dark, sweaty past time of letting loose and putting aside your inhibitions to forget about your troubles in the world – the raves have drawn condemnation from many for what they represent.

For others, they have provided a clean cut, bright and curated moment of manufactured magic without the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Regardless, the most shallow person many people now will be attending one this weekend.

More to come.
