A local man has today been hit by his monthly sharp pang of regret, after being accosted by the price of Bitcoin.

Aaron Gray* (name changed for obvious reasons lol) said he gets the sharp pain in his stomach at least once a month, shortly after remembering how much Bitcoin he traded on Silk Road.

“Fuck I put some money through that thing,” sighed the man who claims his days of recreational drug use are mostly behind him.

“But Silk Road, those were the days.”

Silk Road was an online black market and the first modern darknet market. As part of the dark web, Silk Road operated as a hidden service, allowing users to buy and sell products and services between each other anonymously using bitcoin.

The website was known for its illegal drug marketplace, among other illegal and legal product listings.

Given the price of bitcoin at that point in time, many users of the platform, now spend their days thinking about how different their life might be if they just forgot they had some crypto left in there, or accidentally didn’t put a transaction through.

“180k AUD for a bitcoin now,” sighed Grey.

“I used to pump 100s of the fucking things through Silk Road for the boys at uni.”

“1000s probably all up of the glory days.”

“Farrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkk,” he sighed, keeling over and grabbing his stomach again.

“FARKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.”
