Peter Dutton has today finally revealed a plan to win back the moderate centre of Australia who have been deserting his party in droves.
The Leader of the Opposition has done so by quietly preferencing noted moderates One Nation, in the first deal of its kind at a national level in nearly 30 years.
The backdoor deal has seen One Nation and the Coalition agree to preference each other second across the majority of the country, in a move neither are particularly keen to talk about for some weird reason.
The deal means that anyone who votes for a Coalition candidate in a seat they lose, will see their vote flow next to One Nation and vice versa.
It follows the highly successful deal in the WA State election eight years ago, where Labor shat it in against a Liberal Coalition trying to cosy up to One Nation – after Pauline praised Russian President Vladimir Putin aka the man who shot down MH17.
Speaking to The Advocate exclusively about the decision, Peter Dutton was buoyant on the idea.
“It’s a no brainer really,” explained Temu Trump.
“We have been bleeding votes in traditional Liberal heartlands to socially progressive women who should have been Liberal candidates,” he continued.
“So we are going to counter that by doing a deal with the loudest mouth in Australian politics famous for her racism, Xenophobia, anti-science and anti-climate views.”
“We expect this should swing back all of the key seats we’ve lost and plenty more.”
One Nation have refused to comment on the deal when contacted by The Advocate, citing their anger about our publishing of Pauline kissing a spunky Sudanese man last year.
More to come.
