A local big time American sports fan who isn’t really into low quality Australian domestic football codes, is now starting to show signs of fatigue after a rebellious 70 minute lunch break.
This comes after Luke Thompson (31) decided to throw caution to the wind at lunch and have three schooners of beer over his American themed buffalo wings.
“Haha. How good were those wings” he says to Ramesh, the other American sports guy from the office.
“So good”
Even with the pure adrenaline that comes with watching ‘his team’ win the 2019 NFL Super Bowl, Luke is starting to regret the 4.8 standard drinks he had alongside the wings and nachos.
With the ceremony now over, the only remnant of the the glorious win is the BO-wafting New England Patriots jersey that Luke is still wearing over his Politix poly-cotton work shirt.
It’s been a big drop in spirits considering that Luke was apparently standing on his chair cheering at the sound of the final buzzer, according to Ramesh who only had one beer and isn’t as drowsy.
However, even as his blood sugar levels crashes and he edges closer to a highly unprofessional nap at his desk – Luke still has that twinkle in his eye.
“Haha. How good would it be if Super Bowl was on like a Saturday arvo” he says to Ramesh.
