A local man has today been confronted by a ghost of his former life.
Will Alston (34) from Betoota Heights, was given a rude verbal spray by his 19-year-old self, as he went about his morning routine.
Unsealing the airtight vacuum sealed container where he stores his 89 dollar a kilo, honey blueberry roasted organic Nicaraguan coffee beans, Will found a younger version of himself asking what was going on.
"Yeah, quite funny actually," said Will.
"As I was measuring my beans to the milligram before making a shot for a mate of mine, Young Will returned from the past for a quick verbal spray."
"He said; "What the fuck has happened to you mate?""
Will said that while he now owns a $1500 coffee machine things used to be quite different.
"Yeah, I've come a long way from the days of International Roast and that Indonesian Red Bull in a yellow can," he laughed.
"If you'd told 19-year-old me this is how I'd be living now, I think you would have heard some rather unsavoury things come out of his mouth."
"But hey, things change and life goes on."
"This little ritual of mine gives me a bit of joy before I start my day at a soul crushing job."
"So 19-year-old me can suck it up."
