Bloke That Syndicated Sky New To Regional Free-To-Air TV In 2018 Didn't Realise He Was Destroying The Liberal Party

The dominoes keep falling in response to a simple broadcasting deal that came into effect on the 2nd September, 2018.
As of this week, the Federal Coalition has been completely dismantled - as a result of their own internal bickering.
That means that Liberal leader Sussan Ley must now make some grim battlefield promotions and elevate some of the most talentless and neckless outer-regional backbenchers into her Shadow Cabinet.
These MPS, while excited for a pay bump and new responsibilities that would have unimaginable just a year ago, are not likely to behave - and will most probably be just as hard to control as the National Party.
With the Nationals now 'going it alone' - with no political challengers except for maybe the Katter Party up north and maybe one of two One Nation seats in the regions - the Albanese Government looks like they can stay in power for as long as they want.
Right across Australia, the last remaining Liberal Party true believers are asking what the hell has happened to the party that once held power for decades.
With their party being eroded by the Teals in the cities, and losing their numbers in the bush with the Coalition split - it's hard to imagine that this was the party that brought us Robert Menzies and John Howard
However, there are some voters who know exactly what went wrong.
One of those men is Glenn (48) from the NSW North-West.
And as a regional TV syndication manager, he almost feels responsible.
"Yeah, didn't feel like much at the time." he said.
"The bosses just told me that Sky News was going on free-to-air in the bush. I just flicked the switch and the satellight started beaming Andrew Bolt and Paul Murray into the living rooms of seemingly normal but fairly isolated people"
As Glenn points out, it was around this time that the membership base for the National Party MPs and Liberal backbenchers started thinking that the public school system was trying to make their grandkids trans, and that wind turbines were causing cancer... and that the Aboriginal community was entirely made up of rich academics who controlled politics and got heaps of free stuff.
"Before that, they'd just get their news from the ABC and maybe WIN news. I think the biggest issues out here where school funding and whether or not the hospital had a doctor who could deliver babies"
"Now everyone seems to be really worried about restrictions on free speech and the fact that the Greens are stopping regional councils from back-burning"
Glenn sighs.
"Yeah. Just felt like your run of the mill broadcasting deal. I didn't think I'd be destroying the Liberal Party's electability and rearranging how local MPs brains work"
However, Glenn says it's not ALL his fault.
"Things got much worse when they got the NBN. Now they've got Sky News on YouTube, as well as whatever else the algorithm is feeding them"
