A 30 year old Tigers fan is feeling a sense of child-like joy he hasn't felt since he was 10 years old thanks to Benji Marshall.
Holden Rose (30), a born and raised Balmain man whose main childhood sporting moments revolved around Benji Marshall's side stepping antics in 2005 is once again feeling the magic thanks to club legend.
"I genuinely havn't felt like this since I was a kid and it's all thanks to the exact same man" Holden explained.
The 41 year old coach, who was a part of the Tigers 2005 premiership, is once again creating record levels of optimism from Campbelltown to Leichhardt.
"For the first time in my adult life we are going into games as the favourites, I just can't thank this man enough" he added while holding back tears.
Benji's early coaching success this season has prompted many adult Tigers fans to reconnect with their inner child by heading down to the local park to practice flick passes and side stepping.
"I did my calf in trying to recreate that flick pass against the Cowboys" admitted one Campbelltown man, still clutching a Steeden ball.
Experts say the phenomenon is harmless, noting it mirrors a broader trend of nostalgia-driven optimism sweeping through the club right now.
Moments after speaking with The Advocate, Holden purchased a crisp 05 Tigers jersey online in preparation for a season they will most definitely finish in top 4 and probably go on to win.
