The two-time (pardon the pun) former Deputy Prime Minister of Australia will today resign from the National Party.
A little while after hinting at the defection from the Nats, Barnaby Joyce is set to officially confirm it today, with speculation that he will join Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party.
The Mark Lathamesque fall from grace comes after a long couple of years of Barnaby failing to grapple with the fact his party no longer saw him as leadership material - no matter how many long winded Facebook posts he wrote littered with 10 dollar words.
Now, the man famous for making himself the centre of attention in the public arena is set to do so again - by defecting from his party and joining the party of a tired old politician who this week recycled an Islamophobic stunt from 2017.
This comes after Joyce and Hanson enjoyed a nice steak meal in parliament on Monday after Pauline's burqa stunt got the requisite attention she craves at the sake of eroding the fabric of the community to capitalise on a growing underclass who desperately want someone to blame for their problems - which obviously can't be the people who will donate heavily to Barnaby Joyce in the wake of his defection.
The found potential marriage is believed to be built on a shared love of useless stunts, time-wasting and dividing the country in the name of unity.
More to come.
