An awkward, eerie, and generally unlikeable bloke has undergone a miraculous transformation this week, leaving family members and the one friend he has completely gobsmacked.

Once the butt of the joke, and the kind of man women would instinctively sidestep with a ten foot pole, there seemed little hope for 32 year old WordPress developer, Ben Plunkett.

That is, until last week, when he punched in his credit card details on Sportsbet and somehow landed himself a $112 win.

After tapping in those sweet 16 digits, Ben reports waking up the next morning in a body he didn’t recognise in a full blown Spider-man moment.

This, of course, refers to the iconic scene in Sam Raimi’s 2002 Spider-man, where Peter Parker wakes up shredded after being bitten by a radioactive spider.

But seeing as Ben is COOL now, he knows nothing about Spider-man.

He just knows cool things.

...like NRL. And CARS.

Because he’s a Sportsbet guy now.

And, judging by the sudden circumference of his biceps, Ben is now, without question, a ladies’ man too.

“It was so strange,” says Ben in a husky voice, gesturing toward a body that looks like a Greek statue come to life (except for the cock part, as his is now huge), "after giving Sportsbet a bunch of my money, I just… woke up like this. How crazy is that?”

Ben adds that he’s now rapidly climbing up the ranks at work, and even made a joke at the pub yesterday afternoon that had everyone within a one metre radius 'in stitches.'
