“Aw, He’s So Excited For The Baby To Come” Says Woman About Dog Who Barely Recognises His Own Reflection

An expectant mum has this week had quite a sweet moment with her terrier ‘Monty’, who she’s now convinced not only knows that a baby is growing in her stomach but is excited by the prospect of having a ‘brother.’

It’s alleged Samara Gleason, 32, was curled up on the couch watching Grand Designs yesterday afternoon when Monty climbed up beside her and snuggled in close, laying his head gently against her exposed stomach.

Rather than assume Monty was simply looking for a warm and comfortable spot to nap, Samara is now positive he understands she is pregnant and that he has already begun to bond with the baby.

“Aw Jared look, Monty loves his brother already!” Samara had cooed to her partner, prompting Monty to give her a little doggy side eye, “I can tell they’re going to be best friends.”

Jared, who’s ever the diplomat, confirms that yes, Monty definitely knows there’s a baby in there.

“He has been more of a sook lately!”
