The nation is today grappling with what it witnessed over the weekend.

March for Australia demonstrations took place in capital cities and regional centres on Sunday, stirring a huge emotional response across the country.

Known neo-Nazis spoke at events in Sydney and Melbourne and with extremist language, chants and behaviour commonplace at the nationwide gatherings.

Large counter-protests formed in many locations, with violence flaring up on a number of occasions.

It’s left experts in the social security and cohesion space ringing the alarm bell that this may just be a sign of things to come – with Neo-Nazis, fringe politicians and powerful ideologically aligned individuals seeking to harness the discontent of a growing number of Australians for their own gain.

Those warnings will likely be ignored by a media and political class who would rather just laugh at the ‘dumb bogans’ instead of interrogating the state of the nation, that may or may not directly benefit people like them.

This comes after a number of right-wing commentators, (despite fanning the flames for weeks) started distancing themselves from the march because they realised that the entire thing was a nazi psy-op that could only exist because of decades of Australian media’s relentless ‘othering’ of migrants and Indigenous people.

“Haha look at these stupid ferals! Ewwwwww,” said local media person Alistair White-Smith, who isn’t that keen on spending some time looking at whether deteriorating living standards and a growing poverty class might be in some way be contributing to this growing group of radicalised Australias.

“Yeah I mean the housing crisis is bad, but lets not try and blame that for these idiots wanting to bash migrants,” continued the man who owns multiple investment properties thanks to the commercialisation of the human right that is owning a home – as a result of decades of deliberate government policy.

A sentiment shared by one of the organisers of the march ‘against immigration which is destroying the housing market’, who is the grandson of Tony Lennon, the former chairman of Perth-based Peet Limited, one of Australia’s largest real estate development companies, worth approximately $800 million.

“We need John Howard back to steer the ship,” said White-Smith referencing the PM who pretended to be tough on immigration by ‘stopping the boats’ while increasing the level of immigration to record highs in effort to bolster the working underclass that could successfully destroy wage growth and ensure profits for large business owners would continue to also grow at record rates.

More to come.
