In some news that’s sure to leave nation’s millennials positively tickled, it can now be confirmed that teenagers have slowly reverted to their factory settings and discovered the confusing but addictive pre-internet PC game, ‘Minesweeper.’
The game, which alongside pinball, were fan favourites amongst millennials with access to PC computers in the early 2000s, was often resorted to when the internet was down - usually as a result of waiting for a family member to get off the phone so you could use the internet.
Now, as the nation’s social media ban has already begun to roll out, teenagers who aren’t savvy enough to bypass the age verification systems have discovered Minesweeper.
And just like teenagers before them, they have absolutely no fucking idea how it works.
Speaking to local teen Hayley Moore, 14, says he was shocked to learn that the game does have strategy to it.
“I thought it was just like a game of luck or something. Like you keep clicking until it explodes”, explains Hayden, “I didn’t know there were actually rules and shit.”
“I think that makes it less fun.”
At the time of print, it can also be reported that Hayden has stumbled upon another millennial favourite that was played on school laptops when the teacher wasn’t looking - Plants Vs Zombies.
“This is awesome, who needs Instagram anyway?”
More to come.
