As is the case in most sports, the new Rivals show is proving the time honoured theory that preparation promotes performance.
And, with Episode 4 of the battle of the codes now in the books, the elite cardiovascular fitness of team Aussie Rules is certainly coming to the fore.
This comes as team Aussie Rules continue to dominate the battle for sporting superiority.
The sustained results across the challenges has those south of the Barassi Line once again relishing in the claims that Aussie Rules is the superior code.
“Hahaha not sure why anyone would think any other result is possible,” laughed local Footscray man Marcus Libratore.
“The rugby guys are good at running into each other and that’s about it,” chortled the man who uses rugby interchangeably for the two other egg shaped ball codes.
“And that’s cool, but the idea that they are more skilled or better athletes…”
“Pleaseeeeeeee.”
His comments come after a good old fashioned dummy spit from a couple of the teams in the power challenge.
“Haha classic rugby league players,” laughed Libratore.
“Chucking a little tanty after a little bit of niggle.”
“They actually wouldn’t last a minute with the sledging that goes on in Aussie Rules.”
“Can’t see how this series finishes with anyone else other than us winning,” finished Libratore, seemingly claiming victory for himself and his entire code.
More to come.
