An Australian man visiting the big apple has let out a smug chuckle when he was asked if he's ever tried one of New York's iconic Bacon Egg'n'Cheese rolls from the deli.
Finn Harper (28), who is visiting the states for the first time had prepared for American's thinking they are the centre of the world.
"I mean it's such a big place, you can see why none of them leave or even seem to care about what's happening outside of their country" he said.
"I've had to explain to people that the my accent isn't British a dozen times"
"Many of them seem to be shocked that Australian's speak English at all"
Until now, Finn has been open to American's lack of knowledge anything concerning something that isn't American.
Earlier today Finn was met with an Americanism that even he couldn't ignore.
While walking into a deli Finn was asked if he wanted to try "one of our famous bacon egg'n'cheese rolls"
"Our?!"
"Wait, they think THEY own putting bacon and eggs into a greasy roll?" the 28 year old Australian man lamented.
Finn says he then had to resist the urge to pull out photos of every Australian café menu from the past thirty years.
"I mean, we literally grow up on bacon and egg rolls. It's like asking an Italian if they've ever heard of pasta" he said, still shaking his head.
