As Is Tradition, Every Premiership-Winning Bronco To Be Given Their Own Pub On The Sunny Coast

Celebrations are still ongoing as the victorious Brisbane Broncos Men’s and Women’s side bounce between pubs and hotel rooms on day two of their dual-premiership partying.

But the players have a lot more to look forward to in the coming weeks and years.

It can be confirmed that every single Premiership-winning Brisbane Bronco will be given a pub or cafe, at a beachside Sunshine Coast location of their choosing.

This announcement was made during yesterday’s fan event – as both the 2025 NRL and NRLW premiers returned home from Sydney to a hero’s welcome in at their home ground Suncorp Stadium – before launching into an almighty Mad Monday bender.

The men are celebrating their 19-year drought-breaking premiership after a 26-22 win over the Melbourne Storm. Meanwhile, the Women’s team have brought back the NRLW trophy back to Brisbane for the second time in 5 seasons – after beating a previously undefeated Sydney Roosters 22-18.

But while the hangovers might sting for the next couple of days, the glory of a premiership is forever, and is something that all players can cash in on for the rest of their lives.

While obviously any premiership-winning Brisbane Broncos will never have to buy another beer in the South East corner again, they will also be paid handsomely for corporate speaking events – where they will be asked to talk about last night’s match for the rest of their lives.

On top of this, the people of Queensland will provide every single one of them with their own hospitality venue on the Sunny Coast, where they can capitalise on the Brisbane weekender tourists that head north every holidays.

The Broncos can also request to have their pubs or cafes located in the Lockyer Valley or Queensland-side of the Tweed River – with the only condition that the venue is named after them.

Former players such as Alfie Langer and Shane Webcke have found great success in running their own pubs off the back of a Premiership.

However, the Broncos can also pivot into other small businesses that bare their names, such as 1992 Premiership winner Tony Currie – the owner of ‘Tony Currie Tyres and More’ on Wynnum Road.
