Angus Taylor Admits City Of Sydney Much Harder To Tamper Than An Irrigation Water Meter

Energy Minister Angus Taylor put his hands up and laughed at a morning press conference in Canberra today, sheepishly telling reporters that as it turns out, the City of Sydney is much harder to tamper with compared to an irrigation water meter.

“You just have to pop them open and dial the numbers back – or you put a bypass around the meter! Whatever floats your boat!” laughed Taylor.

“No, no, no. You’re right, guys. I’m joking,”

“That file everybody’s talking about, it’s publically available. Go find it and blah blah, you’ll see everything is in order. The Lord Mayor of the Centre of the Universe, Clover Moore, is entitled to her opinion so yeah, right. Guys, I’ll chat later, I’ve got to run.”

The Advocate forwarded questions to the Minister’s office a short time ago, asking how he plans to respond to claims he – or someone in his office has tampered with City of Sydney documents to fit his argument.

Mr Taylor’s office responded by explaining that Angus is planning to head down to the Kingston Hotel this afternoon for a schooner while this whole thing blows over – like every other controversy he’s been embroiled in since taking office.

More to come.
