One of the biggest names in music has today shocked the nation, by revealing a bumper run of shows for his first ever Australian tour.
However, rather than hit the classic Melbourne, Sydney Brisbane East Coast run, the Nashville superstar is keeping it all West Coast.
The bombshell announcement has caused waves in the Australian and country music scene, with Jelly Roll apparently only travelling to the Democratic People’s Republic of Western Australia.
In fact, The Need a Favor and Bloodlines singer isn’t planning on playing anywhere other than Rottnest Island.
7 times.
That’s right, despite finally treating Aussie fans to a long awaited tour, the big fella is apparently just playing a run of 7 shows on Rottnest.
The cause for the most peculiar run of shows in Australian history is reportedly Jelly Roll’s love affair with the Quokka.
“Dude, they’re an Aussie icon,” said an excited Jelly Roll to our reporter.
“This tour’s pretty much just justifying travelling to see the little guys in the flesh”
“PUMPED.”
When asked what it would take to get some East Coast shows for the most populous region of Australia, Jelly Roll laughed.
“Quokkas man.”
“I could be persuaded by those Kiwi birds though…”
More to come.
