Opposition leader Anthony Albanese has withdrawn his statement from yesterday where he said he was sorry that he couldn’t tell a reporter in Tasmania what the employment figures were.

Quoting yet another musical act, this time Albo quoted the Anti-Nowhere League’s popular hit “So What?” when he spoke to journalists in Hobart just a short time ago.

“Ah, uh,” he said.

“Well, I’ve been to Hastings and I’ve been to Brighton. I’ve been to Eastbourne too. So what, so what? And I’ve been here, I’ve been there I’ve been every fucking where! So what, so what? So what, so what, you boring little cunt!”

“Well, uh, that’s what I have to say, uh, on that. It’s a bullshit figure from a bullshit government. Unemployment is only that low because everyone has a second job, it’s that hard to live. Plus, he’s counting people who are working 3 hours a week, which is fuck all if you’re looking for more. He’s counting people in training, it’s bullshit. I could’ve said the unemployment rate was 9% and it still would’ve been accurate because no cunt outside the government knows what the truth is,”

“So what? So what? Who cares.”

When asked by DJ Astrolabe, who shot the fame for headbutting Tony Abbott in Salmanaca Square in 2018, to complete the second verse of the song for the reporters, Albo said he probably can’t.

“Well, uh, Mr Astrolabe, I’m sorry but it’s just a bit too rude but please don’t headbutt me or anyone on my staff. You can headbutt Andrew Probyn if you want, he’ll be on my bus this afternoon.”

More to come.
