Some of Australia's least aesthetically pleasing citizens are descending upon the South Australian capital this weekend, for the Labor Party's 50th National Conference.

While the party are pitching this event as a democratic policy battleground over gambling reform, resource taxes and AI regulation - the most exerting activities will indeed be the casual and extra-marital centre-left sex that will be taking place in the motels and hotels of greater Adelaide.

One Glenunga motel operator, Don Wong from The Roadside Rest and Root, says he has even considered putting down plastic sheets, to protect his staff and future guests from the musty odours that will overwhelm his place of business after this weekend.
