Australia has once again lit up the biggest night in Western cinema.
With the likes of Rose Byrne, Jacob Elordi and Nicole Kidman wowing on the red carpet, it has been a surprise package coming from the clouds that has put Australia on the map.
The 'Melbourne Strip Club Chair Debacle' has stunned the movie world by storming home to win the Oscar for Best Live Action film.
The film is a depiction of an interaction outside of a strip club in Melbourne, where a man donks his mate on the head with a chair, after being evicted from the venue.
The rank outsider in the category apparently wowed judges of the category, with its 'perfectly put together plot, beats and crescendo.'
"It's actually one of my favourite films of the year," said local Betoota Film Expert Alexei Toliopoulos.
"An absolutely marvellous piece of cinema."
"And I can see why the panel picked this as the Best Live Action Film."
"I think we can all cast our mind back to the first time we watched it, and the beautiful journey it took us on."
"From the initial reaction of the bouncer, to his character development throughout the film."
"There are just so many beautiful elements to it, and it's great to see Australia win on the big stage."
More to come.
