Political corruption is thriving across the nation as anti corruption ‘watchdogs’ such as IBAC function more like a whippet than a pitbull.

Thankfully good old ‘aunty’ still has a trick up her sleeve to combat all this political nonsense going on.

It can be reported today that the ABC will resurrect Tom Gleeson's ‘Hard Chat’ program to apply some pressure to the politicians that have been getting away with it for too long.

Mr Gleeson was delighted at the network's decision to reinstate the show.

Gleeson has previously interviewed Bob Katter, Sarah Hanson-Young, Jaquie Lambie and none other than Prime Minister Anothony Albanese before they were the household names that they are today.

“Keep the bastards honest! Nah but seriously since I won a logie I’ve been pretty bored and keen to get back to doing what I love, making fun of powerful nerds!”

The ABC which at this point is pretty much just a ‘what did Jacinta Price and Andrew Hastie do today’ livestream has unfortunately missed some of the Nation's biggest scopes.

Gleeson is reportedly excited to ask some hot button questions about some of the topics that the network underreported on, or missed entirely such as robodebt compensation, SA’s algae bloom, Woodsides approval till 2070, AUKUS, public housing demolition, just to name a few.

The Advocate can also reveal that to keep the network big wigs happy, Gleeson's first guest will be none other than Jacinta Nampijinpa Price!

More to come.
