A local Betoota woman looking at herself in the horizontal wall length mirror at the kebab shop at 3am has confirmed that it is never going to be flattering.
The design choice which is common among various kebab shops around Australia is definitely questionable as many of their customers usually walk in looking the worst they’ve ever looked.
23 year old Ava Miller enjoyed a night dancing at the local Betoota gay club, TEASE, where she threw back vodka lime sodas and grinded on various gay men to Katseye remixes.
After exhausting her energy on the dance floor, Ava and her girl group plus a couple strays stumbled over to the closest kebab shop, Betoota Brother’s Kebabs.
While waiting for her doner kebab, Ava turned around to see a hideous monster looking back at her.
As Ava stared in the mirror under the fluorescent lights she realised the only makeup left on her face was the mascara under her eyes.
Kebab shop mirrors are usually installed to make the normally narrow shops feel larger as well as sometimes deterring possible theft or antisocial behaviour.
However, some believe the mirrors are used to make customers feel more depressed and therefore being more inclined to order more delicious food.
“Once I saw the pash rash on my chin from the 30 year old I hooked up with 10 minutes prior, I thought fuck it, get me a slice of the pepporoni as well,” Ava told our reporter.
“I looked around at other drunken customers in the shop and they were all ignoring the mirror.”
“We were all ugly in that moment, but we were all ugly together.”
