After a year long study into his genetic make-up, scientists have today confirmed that 22-year-old cloud rapper Post Malone is 70% Labrador.

The study was commissioned by the American Medical Association and was conducted by researchers from the University of Texas in Malone’s home state.

There have been rumours of Malone’s dogginess for several months now, after he was seen drinking out of a shoe on stage in Sydney, Australia earlier in the year.

However, scientists today can finally confirm that the record-breaking country-hip-hip icon is actually pretty much a domestic household pet.

“What we’ve found is that Malone’s generally sloppy behaviour and overall cheerfulness is attributed to him being over 70% Labrador Retriever” said lead researcher Professor Tracy Marrow.

“This is evident in the fact that he is often seen to be wet and puffed, and also loves when people pat him and call him a good boy”

“This will help him in years to come, as Labradors age well and become even cuter. Unlike Kid Rock. Who was essentially what Post Malone is a decade ago and he’s just turned into a seedy old man”

As a new face of hip hop music amongst Millennials, Post Malone’s second album Beerbongs and Bentleys, broke streaming records en route to debuting at number one on the Billboard 200, while also gaining platinum certification in the first four days of release.
