In some truly shocking news, a few of the countries who have taken a noticeably anti-expert approach the Coronavirus outbreak, are in a fair bit of curry.

The news follows confirmation from the likes of Brazil and the United States that they are experiencing devastating outbreaks of the Covid-19 virus.

Brazil has emerged as the new poster boy for sticking it to medical experts, whose president Jair Bolsonaro has refused to appoint a Health Minister, has been hosting rallies speaking out against the virus, and proclaims social distancing is a ‘job-killing measure.’

The country saw 50,000 new cases of the virus on Sunday, taking its total over 1,000,000 cases.

The country’s reported death toll is over 50,000.

This follows the number of cases climbing in the US, with twenty-two US states having seen a surge in cases of COVID-19 despite a push from the very top to reopen the country in the middle of a pandemic.

In May, Columbia University disease modelling experts claimed that delays in lockdowns cost the United States a minimum of 36,000 lives.

While the UK seems to be slowly be calming down, they experienced a huge wave of anti-expert propaganda, with leader Boris Johnson declaring that his government was going to ‘take of the Clark Kent spectacles,’ reufse to get caught up in the panic and protect the right of his people ‘to buy and sell freely among each other.’

They also initially implemented ‘Herd Immunity’ which almost every other country apart from Sweden for some reason, realised was sheer madness.

Surprisingly, some other countries like Australia and New Zealand have listened to medical experts who have literally no reason to try and push any forms of agendas, and have ended up in a relatively good position – that and the fact they are islands with closed borders.

Also surprisingly, the likes of Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro have yet to admit any fault and commit to putting their hatred of experts aside any time soon.

More to come.
