The nation’s former Deputy Prime Minister has once again offered up his take on the state of the nation.

With the hangover from the weekend still biting on a Tuesday, Barnaby Joyce has lashed out at the wave of independents emerging in politics.

“It’s fucking disgraceful, and it’s ruining the monopoly the major parties have on these well-paid and influential jobs,” said the frustrated leader of the Nationals.

“They just want to cause chaos,” said the man who is pretending that having people who represent their community and don’t have to toe the party line will mean the end of society.

“And don’t get me started on how they got a start”

“They are funded by agenda-driven billionaires,” said an angry Joyce, acting as though he’s never once taken a flight, free lunch, or 40,000 dollar prize from the likes of mining magnate Gina Rinehart.

“Do people want to see our democracy corrupted?”

“We can’t have people with vested interest controlling our politicians,” continued the man for a party that’s definitely never been influenced by the likes of Clive Palmer, Gina Rinehart, Twiggy Forrest, Rupert Murdoch, Kerry Stokes or James Packer.

Barnaby then continued on his tangent about independent well educated women from outside his party shaking up our political system, completely ignoring the fact a media controlled by billionaires has been crucial in the success of his party for decades.

“Having the likes of Rupert Murdoch control the media narrative and ludicrously wealthy billionaires donate untold sums of money to major parties is part of politics,” said Joyce.

“Allowing new voices who got a start with someone else’s money isn’t,” finished the leader of the Nats who genuinely is acting like the Teals being funded by billionaires doesn’t bear any similarities to the way his party has operated for the last half a century.

More to come.
