A stupid idiot from Victoria is today acting like he doesn’t notice the euphoric, almost sacred atmosphere currently taking hold of his predominantly non-Victorian workplace.

Carl Tonne (31) says he doesn’t really get into rugby league and would much prefer to be in Melbourne right now, watching his beloved AFL side at training.

“Wow. Haha. You guys really take this State of Origin stuff seriously” he says, while looking at himself in the reflection of his laptop.

“I don’t get it, hey”

“It’s seems like such a stupid thing to get so worked up over”

Carl, who in 2015 refused to condemn the actions of Melbourne football crowds who were booing Adam Goodes, says he doesn’t understand how people in NSW and further North treat such a ‘pointless sport’ with such fierce tribalism.

“It’s just so bogan of you. Like, whats the big deal”

With Jodie from HR currently filing several complaints made by coworkers who overheard Carl’s sacrilegious comments, it is unclear at this stage if he will still have a job after the weekend.

“He really needs to educate himself and show a bit of cultural sensitivity” said one distraught receptionist, Annabelle

“He’s really put a lot of people offside today. People from both sides of the Tweed.”

“If we’ve learnt anything, it’s that us cockroaches and cane toads should come together and focus on how much we hate people like Carl”
