The Prime Minister released a statement on the retaliatory strikes from Iran on a number of US military bases in Iraq a short time ago, outlining that the NSW Government is partly to blame for it.

Scotty, from marketing, detailed that the ‘unfolding events in Iraq’ were in part due to his government not wanting to step on the toes of the Berejiklian government in their response to the missile strike.

In addition to that, the Prime Minister said that it was ultimately up to the state and territory governments to tell the Commonwealth what they needed in that response.

“It’s not the responsibility of the government to respond to these types of matters,” said Scott.

“This international crisis, while a terrible disaster, is the responsibility of the Berejiklian Liberal government. It’s not acceptable for me, the Prime Minister, to be ultimately responsible for what goes on in this country,”

“We are here to assist Gladys Berejiklian in her response to the missile attacks on the Al Assad and the other one with the slightly more ethnic name bases [sic] in northeastern Iraq. We are here and ready to assist, my Commonwealth liaison within her government is awaiting instruction.”

The media statement concluded with Mr Morrison’s 3450-character email disclaimer telling all those in possession of the document that it’s illegal to do so without a Negative Vetting 2 ‘TOP SECRET’ security clearance.

More to come.
