Though Cyclone Alfred has been demoted to a ‘tropical low’ after a week of talking up a big game, a group of lobsters in the foyer tank of an Eagle St Pier restaurant are still apparently feeling quite stoked, as Brisbane is expected to experience flooding.
Speaking to one of the cleaners, The Advocate “acting differently” since news of the impending flood broke, with some appearing to be studying the water level with interest.
He also reckons he even heard one of the them whisper ‘soon’, but admits he’d been doing a few bumps of ket that day, so to take that with a grain of salt.
“Still, I can see those cunts plotting, they’ve got this weird look in their beady eyes.”
