Jaeyleighn Moxson says her career as a lifestyle influencer has always been very flexible.

With her husband Jaxon nearing the end of his rugby league career, she’s been able to maintain her steady stream of content no matter which club he was with.

“You’d be surprised” says.

“Obviously we didn’t live in Redfern when he was at the Bunnies”

“We were at South Bondi. I made it clear that I wanted to be walking distance from Icebergs so that I could get a photo of the pool every time Sydney was ‘turning it on’ – that was a great 18 months of content”

In fact, Jaeyleighn says the life of a high-profile influencer is doable wherever you live – except for Canberra obviously.

“I even made it work in Townsville”

“When Jaxon was at the Cowboys, I’d just head out to Magnetic Island for a shoot” she says.

“I’d organise a couple bikinis and maybe a cocktail at the bar. They’d usually throw in a free night in one of the suites as well”

However, Jaeyleighn says their last couple of seasons on the Gold Coast Titans were ideal, due to the abundance of coffee shops and beaches. So good that she had hoped they might stay there forever.

Even after his career wrapped up in the NRL, the 29-year-old mother of three says she couldn’t ever imagine a life where she’d have to go back to general admission at the races.

That was until Jaxon signed a two-year contract with the Huddersfield Giants in North England, the birthplace of rugby league.

“I didn’t realise till we got here…” she says.

“I thought England was part of Europe. This is not Europe”

“Turns out it rains non-stop and the closest thing you can get to a cocktail is a cider with blackcurrant cordial”

“The people all sound like the miners in Billy Elliott… and all the other players wives work in glass panel factories”

While the bikini photos are few and far between on their bye-weekend trips to Spain and France, Jaeyleighn has had to find a new source of content to keep her followers interested.

“That’s when I started spending a bit of time on YouTube”

“Did you know that they have a $400m vaccine compensation fund in the US?”

“People don’t talk about that enough. That’s why I’m glad I’ve got a platform”

At time of press, Jaeyleighn sharing some rather bold opinions on the COVID-19 outbreak, or as she refers to it, the ‘shamdemic’.
