Some guy who works at a local advertising agency in the Old City District waited and waited and waited yesterday afternoon for his moment to tell the people he was drinking with that in his opinion, these monoliths are genius.

The monoliths that Bayne Taylor, a 32-year-old creative suit hybrid at Ey-Avbad BO BBRO on Rochester Street, is referring to are the ones that have popped up all over the world in some sort of stupid fucking brand activation that most media outlets (including this inbred regional newspaper) around the world talking about it.

As the circle went quiet, Bayne seized his moment.

“You guys seen those monoliths around the world?” he said.

Two people got up to piss.

Other nodded.

“I think it’s the greatest advertising campaign of 2020. It’s genius.”

Two more got up to refresh their drinks.

“Like, I’m pretty sure it’s for the new electric Jeep and the monoliths are going to be like the charging stations.”

One of the two who went to the bar came back to see Bayne still holding court so he went out for a smoke.

“They’re going to be talking about this on Gruen for years.”

More not coming.
