The Sydney Roosters are getting set to do what they do best this week – lock down some young talent who shone through their feeder system.

The powerhouse club chasing a historic three-peat are reportedly set to offer teen prodigy Joesph Suaalii a contract to come and play for the tri-colours.

Suaalii had previously been the centre of a tug of war between Rugby Australia and the South Sydney Rabbitohs, who were both offering huge amounts of money to the promising young player.

However, with those contract negotiations stalling, the Roosters look set to swoop and land their junior talent.

“Mate, Joseph is as Sydney Roosters juniours as they come,” explained Roosters Coach Trent Robinson today.

“He’s just another product of our feeder system,” said Robinson, referencing the other 15 NRL Teams.

“We found him on Bondi Beach and developed him mate, just like we did with JWH, SBW, Teddy, Crichton, Keary, The Morris Boys and Taukeiaho.”

“He’s Roosters talent through an through and he’s happy to come down here for 100 grand a year cause he just loves the team culture alright.”

“Hopefully we get him locked in before the end of the year and other clubs try and poach him away from us.”
