Prominent Australian youtuber Robelinda2 has this week been awarded the Order of Australia title in this year’s Australia Day honours list.

Robelinda2 was listed among this year’s Officer of the Order (AO) honour roll in the general division, for “distinguished service to providing Australians access to long forgotten cricket highlights, including really niche ones that you probably don’t remember unless you get deep on Youtube”, according to the office of the Governor General.

The honour roll highlighted Robelinda2’s service as ‘one of the greatest cross-national cricket highlights youtubers in the world’ – while also commending him for his nationalistic focus on Australian cricketing journeymen.

The Order of Australia is the country’s highest award of recognition for outstanding achievements and service. There are two division of the Order of Australia, the Civil or General Divison and the Military Division. The general division has four levels, Companion of the Order (AC), Officer of the Order (AO), Member of the Order (AM) and Medal of the Order (OAM).

Speaking to The Advocate today, Robelinda2 says he wanted to thank all of the random Indian cable channels for overlooking his video stripping.

“Some of them get cranky but at least I credit them” he says.

“And who else is archiving this stuff”

The top honour of Australian of the year was awarded to professor Michelle Simmons for her pioneering work in quantum computing.
