The entire NRL community outside of Redfern to Maroubra are today shitting themselves, after seeing Wayne Bennett smile during a press conference this arvo.

This comes as rugby league superstar Latrell Mitchell finally signs a one-year deal with South Sydney today, confirming his arrival at the club for season 2020.

After months of out-of-control and hysterical media speculation and gossip, the footy world have today been left astounded by the concept of an NRL player making a well thought-out and sensible decision.

There are reports Mitchell has been told he will play fullback for the Bunnies this season and Mitchell said he was excited about the potential of playing fullback.

Hundreds of thousands of jaded Wests, Roosters, Cowboys, Titans and Bulldogs fans are now taking to social media to label the dual-premiership winner that their own clubs nearly paid millions of dollars for as overrated and spoilt.

However, the smile on Wayne Bennett’s face this afternoon means nothing but pain and suffering for the rest of the competition this season – as the infamously surly old codger only smiles when he knows he’s on a good thing.

The club has an option in its favour to keep Mitchell for a second year into 2021, this has seen FoxSports and the Daily Telegraph divert their hundreds of Latrell-specific reporters to focus on where the young Taree boy will be playing in 2022.
