AFTER WHATS BEEN described as ‘just another Wallabies tour of Europe,’ coach Michael Cheika has shrugged off calls for him to step aside, saying that while he’s no Eddie Jones, he’s certainly not another Robbie Deans.

Speaking to the media after the Wallabies 37-21 loss to England in London overnight, Cheika said that he was fundamentally a good coach, it’s the fact that the other team has better players than his team.

“Yeah look, brus,” said the 49-year-old. “We’re going through a period of building a team and losing football matches is a part of life. But fuck me, don’t tar me with the Robbie Deans brush, Jesus Christ.”

“You could stack the backs starting with Gregan and finishing with Latham and old Deansy would still struggle to beat the fucking Pumas. We flogged those Argies like it was 1982 all over again this year.”

“Yeah, but nah, mate. Call me Robbie Deans again and you’ll get dropped harder James O’Connor.”

This is a developing story.

More to come.
