Visiting Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao has weighed in at 66.1kg at a pre-fight weigh-in this morning, while his opponent and Brisbane boy Jeff Horn tipped the scales at 66.3kg.

Dubbed ‘The Battle Of Brisbane’ – schoolteacher Horn will be boxing in front on an international TV audience of nearly 1 billion people tomorrow – on top of a crowd in excess of 50,000 is at Suncorp Stadium.

It is being described as the biggest fight in Australian boxing history, and the hometown hero has already been spotted beginning his pre-match rituals.

Spotted with his father this morning, the 29-year-old was seen drinking a large milkshake glass of Brisbane River water, in what has been described as his usual preparations.

After 16 wins and 0 losses, the Hornett has today praised the majestic power of the murky saltwater in the Brown Snake.

“I do this all the time” he said.

“Before every fight, and sometimes for no real reason at all. Sometime I just drink it because I’m getting a bit homesick. My team and I make sure we fly with at least six or so 1.5 litre coke bottles of the stuff”

While Manny Pacquiao is today going through the paces of his own pre match rituals by heading to church signing autographs, Jeff Horn says he might go out for a bit of session at Johnny Ringos tonight.

“Maybe we’ll hit $2 basics at the Vic? I dunno”
