In a what comes as a shock to the people of Queensland this weekend, it has been confirmed today that Victorian Football exists in the state again.

This confirmation comes after the Brisbane Lions managed to knock Port Adelaide over yesterday to go 3-0 to start the season.

Starting the season 3-0 for the first time since 2010, the Lions have successfully made Victorian Football exist in the Sunshine State for the first time since the early 2000’s when the boys were winning them for fun.

With a game against the AFL’s equivalent of the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs, Essendon next Thursday night, fans of the Lions are hoping the ride continues for a another few days atleast.

However, while not many are getting too ahead of themselves and entertaining the thought of another ‘3Peat,’ Victorian Football fans in Rugby League country are enjoying the brief resurgence of the game.

“It’s great, they managed to get with 3 of Courier Mail’s back page,” said one excited Lions fan.

“Maybe if they win next week they’ll even get a strip along the side or something.”

“Hopefully we don’t capitulate and turn into the Lions of old.”

“Anyway, I’m talking to you about it which is weird enough in itself,” he said.

We acknowledged that fact, and the interview ended when he started talking about the individual players and the coaching system.
