A shoe was on the other foot today as Betoota woman Kirilee Burb (31) finally became a God damn grown up after providing her mum with some life advice.

Although she moved out of home seven years ago, Burb has always struggled to see herself as an adult due to the fact that comparing herself in any way to her mother’s generation usually results in depression.

Luckily for Burb, her old mum Linda Burb (57) only lives 20 minutes down the road and has always been there to help her daughter emotionally and with the garden Kirilee doesn’t give a shit about because she’s renting.

Lego orders in the mail aside, young Kirilee finally felt like an adult today by giving her mum some life advice she found on TikTok.

“Mum, have you ever thought about making a list of things you are grateful for?” asked Kirilee whose mum had only stopped over for a cup of tea and a whinge.

“Remember, it’s not a case of hanging in there, it’s about looking around, absorbing our surroundings, making ethical choices for the benefit of those around you.”

As much as Linda was tempted to tell her little girl to pull her head in, she let her daughter throw meaningless Millennial advice at her, watching the novelty as if she were a kitten trying to open a garage door.

“I understand what you’re going through mum. As someone who was raised by a narcissist I know how hard it can be.”

MORE TO COME.
