A local bloke has experienced a stunning breakthrough this week, after realising his lifelong attraction to emotionally unavailable women may stem from childhood, it’s reported.
Having gone through yet another turbulent short term relationship with an alt baddie he met off Hinge, Paul Taylor, 33, says he finally did a bit of soul searching to figure out why he kept getting attracted to these types of women, only to learn that it had nothing to do with his parents or childhood trauma, but with his first love – Shego, the sarcastic villainess from early-2000s cartoon Kim Possible.
“I always wondered why I was into the bad girls, especially seeing as my mum’s super nice”, admits Paul, “all my exes have this icy, vaguely threatening vibe and were kind of mean.”
“I thought it was sexy. Turns out I’m just trauma-bonded to a cartoon character from 2002.”
Paul says he remembers the day he first saw Shego on television, and that it forever changed the trajectory of his life.
“Every girl I’ve dated since I was a teenager, has been a version of Shego. I don’t know, I guess I just like it when they’re a little bit mean to me.”
Our reporter asks Paul if he plans on changing his approach to dating. He just laughs.
“Hahahaha fuck no.”
“I know what I want.”
More to come.
