A woman watching the latest episode of The White Lotus is grateful that her Sunday scaries have never been THAT bad, and she’s had some absolute shockers.
Settling in for her HBO Mondays (which had priorly been reserved for House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones) Anita Linetti, 33 knew that judging from last week’s promo video, the episode was going to be fucked – but not that fucked.
“I’ve settled down a lot since getting into my thirties, but let me tell you, my mid twenties were a wild ride”, laughs Anita, “I was a bit of a late bloomer to the festival circuit, so that’s when I first started doing pingers.”
“So yeah, I’ve had a lot of Sunday scaries, but ah, well nothing like THAT.”
Sunday scaries is of course referring to the feeling of existential dread felt the morning after a big night on the town, as the body is desperately trying to regenerate serotonin. It is usually paired with a sudden onslaught of memories of all the embarrassing things you did while shitfaced – or jawswinging, in Saxon’s case.
“I know he’s meant to be the douchebag of the show but I felt really sorry for him.”
“It’s not exactly something you can move past, is it?”
More to come.
