A local woman has this week attempted to get yet another girlfriend involved in pole dancing lessons, which is estimated to be the third person she’d asked that month.

Vanessa Tilly [24] states that she was inspired to take up pole dancing after seeing some impressive videos on Tik Tok, but that she’d been too timid to try the dance style on her own.

Excitedly firing off some messages to her best friend Georgie, who she’d expected would answer back equally excited, Vanessa was disappointed to discover that her friend wasn’t actually that keen on spending 60 minutes busting her biceps trying to hike herself up a pole.

Nor was her second best friend Rhonda, who said it didn’t really interest her that much, if she was being honest.

“Yeah sorry not my thing”, said Rhonda, who once tried bouldering, “my upper body strength sucks.”

“Looks too hard haha.”

Vanessa tells The Advocate she has no plans to back down with her bid to coerce her friends into taking a pole dancing class, and will continue planting the seed by sending them videos and commenting how fit all the girls look.

More to come.
