Local TV binge-watcher and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ fan Grace Leigh has angrily asked her husband an important question today.

“When does this shit wrap up?” asked the annoyed fan of the popular TV show that has been taken of the air temporarily as a result of a schedule clash on the public broadcaster.

‘This shit’ being the FIFA World Cup, which despite arguably being the pinnacle of sporting events in the world for many, is pissing young Leigh, and many others around the country, right off.

SBS issued a statement earlier this month explaining that they are also obsessed with The Handmaid’s Tale and are trying to keep the disruption to a minimum, but that the World Cup gets the nod for a little while.

Leigh told us her hubby Ben explained in a convoluted way that she will get her show back this week as the games are now starting later.

“I get it, the World Cup is a big deal or whatever. But why does The Handmaid’s Tale have to cop it for a month while the soccer is on,” she said to our reporters.

We asked Leigh to explain why streaming the show on SBS On Demand just isn’t a viable option.

“Call me old-fashioned, but I have grown up watching shows I love on the actual TV. And besides, I can’t plug it into the HDMI because he is watching the soccer around the clock,” she said.

“I need to watch this on the TV, with quality sound and audio, not on my laptop that buffers every ten fucking minutes because we live in a Labor safe seat. I don’t think it’s too much to ask.”

“Besides, now everyone at work and my family is all out of sync. No one is up to date. It’s a nightmare.”
