Australian cricket fans are today rethinking their position on ball-tampering, after the Longstaff Review claimed that the win at all costs culture in Australian cricket played a huge role in last summers sporting scandal that consumed the nation.

The calls have been echoed by the Australian Cricketers Association who are demanding that the bans on the players who threw the country into a meltdown be lifted and to see David Warner, Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft return to the Australian cricket side immediately.

While Cricket Australia is yet to budge on their over-the-top March verdict, the Australian cricket team is beginning to slowly massage Smith, Bancroft and Warner back into the squad peripherals. Starting by first adding them back into the players group chat.

However, it seems that less than half an hour of international-test-cricket-standards of banter proved too much for the former Vice Captain, causing an ultra-marathon effort across the country.

It is not yet known where he is heading, but it is believed to have been triggered by voice memo from Josh Hazelwood, who was mimicking the 1966 Nancy Sinatra pop ballad ‘The Boots Are Made For Walking’.

This follows the news that Warner walked off because of an opposition sledge while playing in Sydney local cricket over the weekend.

Warner, who turned 32 on Saturday, soon continued his innings and made 114 not out for Randwick-Petersham against Western Suburbs.

Warner had made 35 on Saturday when he reportedly told an umpire he was removing himself from the game after being niggled a little bit by some run of the mill park cricketers.

At time of press, David Warner was making good time to be across the South Australian / WA border and in the town of Eucla by sun down.

Aside from his staple Bubba Gump civilian wear cap, it is not yet known why he was wearing full cricket when he decided to begin his ultra-marathon walking effort.

Speaking of travelling across the country, The Betoota Advocate are beginning their live stage tour in Townsville this weekend, and will be coming to a town a near you!
