A local stay-at-home man is unhappy with society’s normalisation of work-from-home culture, after noticing that his local beach isn’t completely empty during a weekday scorcher.

The local man, Tyson Sildon (28), who’s been between jobs for almost 180 months now, has long relished the fact that he gets the beach to himself whenever it’s hot during the week.

Ever since the pandemic, though, Tyson has grown uneasy about the growing trend of workers taking their workload down to the beach. Or not even working at all.

“It’s stolen valour, that’s what it is,” Tyson explained.

“I can accept the judgement from family, I can accept the poverty, I can accept the boredom. I accept these things for the joy of going to a completely empty beach on a beautiful day.”

“Why do these workers think they can have it all?”

The frustrated unemployed man has said that the emergence of office workers at his local beach has made him question whether or not this whole unemployed thing is even worth it anymore.

“I just don’t know if the Tuesday midday Instagram stories hit the same when four other people on my feed are doing the same, y’know?”

“What’s the point of enduring all the shame that comes from doing nothing with my life.. If I don’t get the damn beach to myself!”
