The disastrous COVID-19 continues to spread right across Australia at the exact rate predicted by the medical and virology experts that no one is listening to because their solutions will force businesses to compromise slightly.

Of the 140 confirmed coronavirus cases in Australia, 78 are in NSW — 34 of whom were returned overseas travellers. A Canberra man in his 30s yesterday became the ACT’s first coronavirus case.

Queensland is still seeing growing numbers of infections, including the recent diagnosis of visiting Hollywood star Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, who are currently being quarantined in the Gold Coast hospital.

South Australians and Tasmanians are also dealing with some of the earlier cases recorded in Australia, while also attempting the minimise the spread of the virus by not going out and doing fun stuff – which is very out-of-character for the Southerners.

Perth may have just recorded a couple more cases, but we’ll wait until the mail train comes through to clarify that.

However, in a bizarre anomaly, the one region in Australia that is seeing the lowest number of COVID-19 infections is one the areas that must be the most disadvantaged when it comes to accessing health services.

As of this morning, Mount Druitt in Western Sydney currently has the lowest count of coronavirus cases in Australia – as numbers surge elsewhere.

COVID-19 cases are also expected to stay low in the two double seven oh, despite a sold out Bulldogs vs Parramatta Eels match at BankWest Stadium only 20 clicks away.

Experts say the semi-rural ghetto remains safe in the face of the pandemic due mainly to their fashion sense.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has today come out and congratulated Mount Druitt residents for their efforts in taking extra precautions in these troubled times.

“Good works usos” said Gladys, during a visit to the fully quarantined Western Suburb today.

“The balaclavas are obviously quite useful for a number of reasons. The rest of Australia needs to learn from you about the importance of covering their face…”

“But who would have thought a Gucci scarf would save you from a respiratory infection!”

The Premier went on to offer stern advice to the rest of the state, as this flu continues to infect Australians going into winter.

“To everyone else in New South Wales, follow the example of these adlays in Mounty County”

“Washing your hands is a must, ain’t no maybe ifs or buts”
