According to local club promotor Christian Van Der Veld (32), Betoota’s premiere nightlife destination ‘The Nightspot’ was host to some of the most beautiful people in the world over the weekend, who ultimately became part of the greatest moment in his professional career.

After hosting his 102nd event at the colloquially named ‘Fightspot’ – the prominent dance club saw over 15k dollars go over the bar, in what he describes as an ‘amazing night held together by a collaboration of ‘incredibly gifted creative spirits’ who came together to host a bizarre event sponsored by a low tier alcohol company.

Despite depending of social media as his only channel for promotions, the career event marketer started his long-winded Facebook status with the precursor “I don’t usually post about my work on Facebook” – before beginning a euphoric sermon about how good last night was.

“To the amazing DJs from Skunk Records, that set was one for the ages”

“To the staff, the lovely people on the fit out, and most importantly you guys, the guests. Thanks for being part of what was easily the best night of my life”

With Van Der Veld and his tax-evading company taking both the door and ten percent of the bar, his review of the evening sounds like he was raising money for a charity of some sort.

“Wow. I’m still reeling from it”

“A little bit of riff raff out the front at close, but ultimately a very successful night. Thanks to the paramedics who were so quick on the scene”
