Bangalow-based online sarong retailer, Bethany Myles (33) has today been ostracised and bullied by the people she thought were her friends, at least on Instagram.

Originally from Manlyvale, the young mother of two unvaccinated treasures has enjoyed a life as one of the Northern River’s popular yummy Insta-mummies, after developing social media following of just over 10k with her relentless stream of photos showing her kids dressed up in a variation of beige coloured linen overalls.

However, today she is officially on the outer, after making an active decision to adhere to the NSW Chief Medical Officer’s public health directives regarding the recent outbreak of community transmissions in the Byron area.

“I should have never posted that insta-story of me lining up for a swab” she says, with tears welling in her eyes.

“But how was I supposed to know that 90% of my Byron Bay social circle think that this whole thing is a conspiracy to shut down BluesFest and destroy local businesses”

While walking down the poorly-socially-distanced main street of Byron today, Bethany found herself stuck in a gauntlet of greasy looks and snarky giggling.

She is now rapidly reconsidering her ideologies.

“I mean, I played their game by not vaccinating my kids”

“And that only started around here because some hot mum from Belongil started using YouTube to escape from her failing Insta-marriage, and like high school everyone just followed suit”

“But this is beyond the pale.”

“These people are all the trust-fund kids of neurosurgeons and Anesthesiologists… Why are they acting like they don’t trust medicine?”

At time of press, Bethany had decided she’d had enough with Byron, and was googling prices of a decent timber Queenslander in Brisbane’s deep North. The real Australian dream.
