Prime minister Scott Morrison has today made an uncharacteristically smart marketing move by taking a leaf out of Albo’s book and getting on the pop culture train, and uploading an image to his Twitter yesterday that looked eerily similar to a popular book cover every millennial woman was sure to recognise.

The post in question, a stunning black and white shot of his pudgy, chode like fingers clasping a red poppy, is reminiscent of the popular vampire series ‘Twilight, which has a similar motif and colour scheme, only with a pair of more aesthetically pleasing hands clasping a red apple.

Though this tactic could be construed as manipulative and a tad desperate, Scott Morrison’s PR manager Becky Wallace  says ‘all is fair in politics’, and that if Albo can drop some Taylor Swift quotes in a press meeting, Morrison can go for the jugular by taking advantage of the one thing millennial women love more than T Swizzle – byronic heroes with a thirst for blood.

“Albo’s playing checkers, and we’re playing chess”, boasts Wallace, “vampires are no doubt the quickest way to build a rapport with disillusioned millennial women.”

“I’m thinking of even running a Liberal vs Labor or ‘Edward vs Jacob’ campaign’ poll for our next Twitter post.”

“Like do you want someone who’s experienced, rich and powerful as your leader?”

“Or some smelly dog that imprints on your daughter?”

“I tell ya, we have this election in the bag.”

More to come.
