There’s been little rest for the people behind Peter Dutton, with their work going into overdrive after the weekend’s election.
While plenty of people on the Blue side of politics are taking a few days to re-calibrate and figure out where everything went wrong, Dutton’s team has been furiously working to get their boss the leadership of the party.
However, while making backroom deals has taken up a huge chunk of time, one bit of unexpected admin has reportedly been the main priority.
“Yeah, we’ve had to do a lot of clean up and sourcing of resources,” explained an overworked Chief of Staff.
“The biggest issue has been getting our hands on a bunch of new mirrors,” he said.
“Peter’s been working overtime on his smile, and unfortunately it’s resulted in a significant loss of mirrors.”
“We are getting through it now, but I’m worried he’s going to tear a muscle off the jawbone.”
“Anyway, we’ve given out a 100 million dollar contract for new mirrors to a mate of Peter’s brother, so we should have plenty to go round in the coming months and years.”
